Question 1

What is W3ME?

Accepted Answer

Software to run a transport business: your jobs, trucks, drivers and customers on one board, plus a network of operators you can hand work to and take work from.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

Anyone moving freight for customers, from one truck to forty.

Question 3

Can I sign up today?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Sign-up opens to new operators shortly, so leave your email and we'll tell you when.

Question 4

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

It's free to start. See plans for the detail.

Question 5

Does it work on a phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The board runs on your phone as well as your desk, and drivers use an app that installs from their phone's browser, so there's nothing to find in an app store.

Question 6

Does W3ME make decisions for me?

Accepted Answer

No. W3ME suggests and you confirm, and nothing is applied until you do. The one exception is a one-driver account, where a new job goes straight onto your own day.

Question 7

Can my customers book and track their own freight?

Accepted Answer

Once you give them a login, yes. They can quote, book, follow their freight from pickup to drop, download the proof of delivery and ask about their own jobs.

Question 8

How does the network work?

Accepted Answer

From the job screen you offer it to another operator. If they accept, it lands on their board, and the updates and the POD come back onto your job. Every operator's insurance is checked by a person at W3ME first, and the network opens with our first operators in November.

Question 9

Can I keep track of a job I give to a subbie?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Their driver gets a link and a password instead of an app; status and the POD land on your job, and while their page is open they're on your board.

Question 10

How is driver location handled?

Accepted Answer

Location is shared while the driver app is open and on screen, and never in the background or when the phone is locked. You hold the switch, in your settings, for every driver at once. Every record kept about a driver is visible to them in their own app, with who else sees it, and location history is kept 30 days before it's reduced to anonymous route shapes.

Question 11

Is my data safe?

Accepted Answer

Your data stays yours. Every business on W3ME is walled off at the database, everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, and backups run every night to copies that cannot be altered. You can ask for an export of everything you hold.

Question 12

What happens when someone's away?

Accepted Answer

W3ME keeps watching: late jobs, missing PODs and expiring paperwork are found every 15 minutes, and the owner can get an email if the board sits untouched in working hours. Someone still applies the week, posts the runsheets, allocates the work and issues the invoices.

Question 13

Can I bring my existing jobs and customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload jobs from a spreadsheet and W3ME names every bad row; customers, sites, vehicles and drivers come in from files too.

Question 14

What can W3ME connect to today?

Accepted Answer

A booking API and signed webhooks, so your own systems can send jobs in and hear back.

Question 15

Where is W3ME available?

Accepted Answer

Built in Australia, and sign-up opens here first.

Question 16

How do I reach you?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact form.
